Feedback From River Island

This was the first time MINUS SIXTY had a chance to show the design team at River Island what we're all about. We were allocated 20 minutes in total to present and receive feedback. Overall, I was happy with our presentation as we received helpful comments such as being informed to be more adventures with our designs. They suggested to use our print all over our jackets instead of having it just on t-shirt and as a lining for the outwear pieces.

We have also switched up our colour palette more by getting rid of yellow and red as they are common colours used by River Island as they wanted to see something more unusual. We replaced the colours with berry pink and increase the use of orange for detailing e.g. on pipping, binding and top stitching. 

Rachel, from my group had the knowledge to make a graphic print using a range of manipulating tools on photoshop. She started with creating a painting then added contour lines over it and merging them to create the effect below. We want to make print a big feature in our capsule collection as it strongly represents were we got out colour palette inspiration from.
